The short version: TEAM8 has no user accounts and the app sends us nothing. This website uses no cookies or trackers. Payments are handled by our store partner.

This policy covers the TEAM8 website and the TEAM8 Gaming, TEAM8 Build and TEAM8 Basic apps, from 1300 Studios ("we", "us").

The website

  • No cookies, analytics or ad trackers. The site loads no third-party fonts or scripts until you press Buy.
  • Hosting logs. Like any website, our host may briefly keep technical logs (such as IP address and browser) to keep the site running and secure.
  • Checkout. When you buy, our store partner collects your name, email, country and payment details as the seller of record, under its own privacy policy. We receive your order details (name, email, country and what you bought) to provide downloads, support, refunds and tax records. We never see your full card details.
  • Notify me. If you leave your email to hear about an edition, we use it only to tell you about that edition, and delete it when you ask.

The app

TEAM8 runs on your computer. It has no telemetry or analytics and sends nothing to us. Its settings, chat history and run logs are stored on your computer in %APPDATA%\TEAM8, %APPDATA%\TEAM8 Build or %APPDATA%\TEAM8 Basic.

When you use these features, TEAM8 sends information to the services you choose:

  • Claude chats go to Anthropic through your own Claude Code, under your Claude plan's terms and Anthropic's privacy policy.
  • Plan & Limits asks Anthropic's service for your plan and usage, using Claude Code's sign-in on your computer. That sign-in stays on your computer and is sent only to Anthropic.
  • Co-op sends your commits to your git host. "Who's working on what" saves your git name and email, your computer's name, what you're working on and which files you're editing in the repository, where everyone with access to it can see them. You can stop sharing the files you're editing in Co-op.
  • Deploy uploads your build to the host you pick. Access tokens are encrypted on your computer with your system's own protection and sent only to that host. Some deploy tools are downloaded from the npm registry the first time you use them.
  • Communications (TEAM8 Basic) works through the connectors in your Claude account, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive and Slack. TEAM8 never receives your passwords for those services. Claude chats read and draft through them under Anthropic's terms; the summary of your inbox is kept on your computer, and drafts are saved in your project folder.
  • Site Builder (TEAM8 Build) runs a preview of your site on your computer only. Screenshots for design reviews and the copies it saves before each change stay on your computer.
  • Token Saver uses RTK, an open-source tool on your computer. TEAM8 reads RTK's local history to show your savings and keeps daily totals on your computer. RTK's own optional usage statistics are off unless you turn them on in RTK.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you (your order details and any Notify me sign-up), or ask us to correct or delete it, unless we must keep it for tax or legal reasons. For payment details, contact our store partner.

Children

TEAM8 is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
